Australia’s history is complex and contentious. In this episode, Karl says, ‘The history of the treatment of the Indigenous people of this land is an awful story…’ and yet, there is so much we don’t know, that we’ve never been taught.

• What you know of the history of early colonisation in Australia.
• How do you feel about our country’s history? And how has it been portrayed?
• Given that 58% of First Nations people claim Christianity, how can you connect with these brothers and sisters in Christ? Do you know your local Indigenous churches?
• List the ways you can explore being part of the reconciliation conversation. Analyse your list: are they personal interactions, church connections, corporate/business activities, or political involvement? Choose one (or more) of these to act on.
